Healing Sisterhood, Heals Birth
Healing birth starts with healing sisterhood. When women reconnect and support each other, birth becomes a powerful, sacred experience rooted in intuition and feminine wisdom.
Birth is not just about the moment a baby is born.
It’s about the space she is born into — the emotional, spiritual, and relational container that surrounds her mother.
For thousands of years, birth was held in a circle of women.
We learned from each other’s stories.
We leaned on each other’s wisdom.
We celebrated each other’s strength.
But over time, something shifted.
The medicalisation of birth moved it out of our homes and into institutions.
The cultural narratives of competition, comparison, and mistrust crept into our relationships.
The circle fractured. And when sisterhood fractured, birth changed.
I believe healing birth starts with healing sisterhood.
Because when women are truly supported by other women — without judgment, agenda, or hierarchy — something ancient reawakens.
Our intuition sharpens. Our bodies relax. And we trust the process because we trust ourselves.
In my own work as a doula and feminine embodiment guide, I’ve seen the difference it makes when a woman feels held in this way. Her fears soften and her instincts rise.
She births not just her baby, but a new version of herself.
When we heal sisterhood, we heal birth.
And in doing so, we heal the world our children are born into.
